What is the CHOICE Expert Rating

CHOICE Expert rating

This is the product's overall performance score, based on key tests conducted by our industry experts in the CHOICE labs.

Good points

• Castor wheels available (but as an optional extra).

Bad points

• Serious safety failure: Mattress does not fit snugly and could create a gap of about 2 cm between the bedside when in bedside sleeper mode; a suffociation risk.
• Serious safety failure: Limb entrapment hazard present in bassinet mode between first and last rods on the bassinet ends.
• Serious safety failure: Limb entrapment hazards in the gaps between moving components.
• Serious safety failure: In bedside sleeper mode, gap between the edge of the sleeping surface of the bedside sleeper and the edge of the sleeping surface of the bed is too big.
• Serious safety failure: Bedside sleeper is not adequately secured to the bedside. It became disengaged from the bed frame while a test force was being applied at one corner.
• Minor safety failure: Sharp points present.
• Minr failure: Protruding ends of the top rail could snag onto a child's clothing.
• Minor safety failure: Bassinet has slightly insufficient depth.
• Minor safety failure: Holes on the mattress base near the edge of the open side are a finger entrapment hazard.
• Mattress and one side panel bought as extras.
• Awkward to access the wing nuts; it takes some finger effort to tighten them when securing to the bedside.
• Manufacturer response: The manufacturer says its product meets European safety standards and has proper certifications from relevant authorities.
