What is the CHOICE Expert Rating

CHOICE Expert rating

This is the product's overall performance score, based on key tests conducted by our industry experts in the CHOICE labs.

Good points

• Passes key safety requirements.
• Easy to assemble.
• The Snoo is supplied with three sizes of special sleep sacks that secure the baby in the bassinet in a safe sleeping position. This is designed to reduce suffocation and SIDS risks.
• Comes with an electric-powered pivoting movement and hush (white noise) sounds. These are controlled either by an on-board button with a light indicators, or through an app which works on your smart device and Wi-Fi network. The Snoo can detect your baby's cries, and responds by adjusting the levels of motion and white noise until the baby stops fussing. As a safety precaution, the motions won't function unless the sack is secured in place.
Note: Price may change depending on exchange rates.

Bad points

• Minor safety failure: The bassinet depth is slightly less than our 250mm requirement (230mm) but this is only a minor fall risk if the baby is not secured in the supplied sleep sack, which clips onto the platform of the bassinet. Accidental falls may be prevented if the bassinet's usage instructions are followed.
• No castors and very heavy to move.
• Very expensive.
