All-in-one kitchen machines like a Thermomix are true multi-taskers that can chop, beat, whip, grind, knead, mince, juice, blend, heat, stir, steam and more.

Due to their safety issues in recent years, we changed the way we recommend all-in-one kitchen machines. We will only recommend models that pass our safety tests and which score highly enough for performance and ease of use. Some models score highly but fail a safety test, while others pass the safety tests but don't score highly enough.

As a result you won't find any models in this review that we recommend. However, with the right precautions, there are some worth considering.

If a product fails safety requirements we don't recommend it. We consider speed cut out to be extremely important, where the speed will automatically cut out if the temperature inside the bowl is above 60°C. If a model doesn't have this feature it's automatically not recommended.

A total of 13 tests are conducted on the machines, including chopping, kneading, braising, making risotto, steaming and crushing, and the results are averaged into the overall cooking performance score. Performance accounts for 40% of the total.

Whenever possible, we follow the manufacturers' recipes.
